The Peugeot 108 unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show shares the same platform as the Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo and it is 3470mm long, which makes it one of the shortest compact city cars in the market even shorter than the VW up! and the Hyundai i10. With 840kg, the three-door version of the model will also be lighter than all of its rivals.
Thanks to this drastic weight reduction Peugeot indicates that all versions emit less than 100g/km of CO2. The model is available with four three-cylinder petrol engines, the base version equipped with the 68hp 1.0 e-HDi, with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The 68hp 1.0 HDi engine is available with a manual gearbox or with a semi-automatic, both five-speed. Finally the high-end version of the model is equipped with a 82hp 1.2 liter VTi engine.
