1500 Crew Cab 4x4 Special Service (United States of America, 2011)

The Ram 1500 Special Service Truck is upgraded specifically for poilce and other first responders. 

The Ram 1500 Special Service truck is available only as a crew cab with 125 cubic feet of interior room. The doors have been modified to allow for the addition of ballistic material. The truck is powered by the 5.7 liter Hemi V8 with cylinder deactivation with 390hp. It has a six-speed automatic transmission. The truck can carry a payload of 1,455lbs and tow 10,000lbs. 

The package includes extensive additions tailored specifically to the uses of police. The package includes sparkplugs that will last for over 100,000 miles and a larger oil cooler so the vehicle can idle for longer periods of time. For the additional electrical equivalent that the police need, the package also adds a 220-volt alternator.
