The Darracq-Lago was built by Talbot-Lago, a company founded in 1935 by Anthony Lago. When Rootes Group took over Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq (STD), Anthony Lago bought the French factory of Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq (STD), located in Suresnes, Paris, France and the rights over the Darracq brand. Anthony Lago used Talbot-Lago as a brand in the home market while the cars sold in the U.K. were marketed under the brand Darracq-Lago. The company was taken over by Simca in 1959 and production of Darracq’s ceased.
