The Hurtu, Hautin et Diligeon company was founded in, Albert, France, in 1880, to make sewing machines. Soon the company enlarged its activities to the production of cars and ultimately motor cars, the first four-wheeled Hurtu being built in 1898. The company specialised in light cars production but could not resist the Great Depression and stopped car manufacture in 1929.
