The Hudson Motor Car Company was founded in 1909, in Detroit, Michigan, USA, being named after its major investor from Joseph L. Hudson. Hudsons’ were quite innovative and became very successful. In 1954 Hudson merged with Nash-Kelvinator Corporation and became American Motors Corporation. The brand was discountinued in 1957.
