"Forgotten Greats #6"
Toyota is know for a lot of things, like the Supra, Celica, MR2, Corolla, Camry, Prius, sitcknig gas peddals, but racing isn't one of those things. The GT-one might look ugly to some, but one thing we can all agree to. IT LOOKS AWESOME! The GT-one was a joint effort by Toyota and TWR so you know the car is fast. The engine was a twin turbo charged V8 (which produced around 792 hp if anybody was wondering) , power flowed through a 6 speed manual. The suspension was based on that of a F1 racecar.
In order to compete in LeMans, each manufacturer must produce a limited amount of street cars, but these cars are very rare. The racing part is a little iffey for me, but that's OK, the car looks fantastic. The car raced in the 1999 LeMans season and soon after that, the regulations changed, which spelled demise for the ugly car, and that was that. If you want to actually drive this car, play GranTurismo 5 (timcal1968). The car costs around $5 million. Since my browser won't download other pics, look in my gallery for more GT-one pics.
