Erwin Komenda (born April 6, 1904 - died August 22, 1966) was a Austrian automobile designer and employee of Ferdinand Porsche.

Before working for Porsche, he worked for Steyr (1926-1929), where he met Ferdinand Porsche. In 1929 he became Chief Engineer for Daimler-Benz, a position he held until 1931.

In 1931, Komenda joined Ferdinand Porsche's new company, and to his death in 1966 Komenda was chief engineer and leader of the Porsche car-body-construction department.

He was involved in the design of the VW Beetle, the Auto Union Grand Prix car, the Cisitalia Grand Prix car, the Porsche type 356, the 356 Porsche speedster, the Porsche 550 Spyder and the Porsche 911.
