Herbert 'Pa' Austin, 1st Baron Austin KBE (born November 8th, 1866 – died May 23rd, 1941) was an English automobile designer and and founder of the the Austin Motor Company.
Interested in motor cars, Austin built two different types in his own time.He worked for the Wolseley Tool & Motor Company until 1905 and founded the Austin car works at Longbridge which was later to become one of the greatest car manufacturers in the world. By 1908 Austin was producing 17 different models. The "Baby Austin" was launched in 1922 and offered for sale at £225.
