History, Development and General Characteristics

In 1971, Alpine presented its  A310 at the Geneva Auto Show, as the car that replaced the previous A110. The production of the A310 ceased in 1984 and it would be replaced by the GT.

Engine and Transmission

The first units of the rear-engined A310 were powered by either a 1.6- or a 2.7-liter engine. Later, a GT variant was added with a 2.9-liter displacement.

Such engines produced from 125 from 150 hp, plus the GT’s 193 hp. Initially, they could reach a maximum speed of 137 mi/h (220 km/h), which later increased to 142 mi/h (229 km/h).

The A310 is rear-wheel driven and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.
