is yet another brand to have created a unique vehicle specially for the racing game Gran Turismo 6. The British brand is unveiling DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Developed in-house by the Design team at Aston Martin, DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo is a new, virtual-only GT racer that will be available for Gran Turismo 6 owners to download in July 2014.
The design team and design engineers have had six months to come up with the design of the new addition to the Vision Gran Turismo stable of race cars. Aston Martin has allowed its team to push boundaries which have resulted in a beautiful vehicle but also with a high degree of engineering integrity.
The twin-turbo V12 mid-engined racer offers up to 800hp handing performance which fully adapts to the nature of game. Aston Martin explained that the DP-100 was created utilising many of the same techniques as applied in the development of Aston Martin production sports cars.
Design Director Marek Reichman said: “DP-100 has been an exciting and intensive project for the team here at Gaydon.”
“As with the CC100 Speedster ConceptAston Martin CC100 Speeds...United Kingdom, 2013 > 2013, many of the design cues visible in DP-100, such as the light blade rear lamps, could also feed through into future sports cars that we’ll launch in the offline world so the importance of this project should not be underestimated,” continued Reichman.
“When I first came face to face with this car at the Aston Martin Headquarters in Gaydon, UK, I was at a loss for words seeing the level of perfection in its design. I was surprised by the bold proposal of the car being the first midship layout model in Aston Martin history. And while it is clean and classy in design, it is also very emotional. Not only that, there was this future Aston Martin in front of me, that was so detailed it could be released on the market pretty much as is,” said Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of Gran Turismo and President of Polyphony Digital Inc.

The design is meant to simultaneously evoke classic Mercedes models and the future. It features gullwing doors, a long, low hood and highly accentuated wheel arches. The radiator is inspired by the 300SL, but the louvers have been replaced by variable LEDs.
The designers of the German brand had complete freedom in terms of the vehicle development, leaving aside any production intent. The design of the GTI Roadster is up to the level of fame of the Gran Turismo series with highly sculpted and aggressive lines, but can still maintain some of Volkswagen's corporate identity.
BMW got inspired in its successful touring cars of the 1970s to create the digital vehicle. Still the brand managed to create a modern road racer that shows an image of speed even before getting on-track. With the front and rear spoilers to optimize the downforce, all elements of air circulation serve to reduce drag coefficient
The wildly styled concept comes from Toyota’s Calty Design Research center in California that celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The name means Future Toyota, and it claims that the “1” represents that it is the brand’s ultimate car.
The Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo is a vehicle that turns out to be an approach of what may prove to be a future high-performance model from Nissan
