will be composed by two petrol and two diesel units. The diesel range will include the 520d powered by a 190hp 2.0l four cylinder engine and the 530d thanks to a 265hp 3.0l straight six engine. . The 530i is fitted with a 2.0l four cylinder engine with 252hp, while the 540i xDrive has been equipped with a 2.0 straight six engine with 340hp. The 540i xDrive is the fastest version at launch and according to BMW it can reach the 100km/h mark in 5.1 seconds.
 
All versions are fitted with an eight-speed automatic Steptronic transmission as standard. The only exception is the 520d which gets a six-speed manual transmission as standard and the automatic gearbox as an optional.
