Chevrolet Bringing Tuned Versions of the Sonic and the Cruze to SEMA

The 2011 SEMA Show runs from November 1-4 in Las Vegas. Automotive tuners of every type will be there. As the show has evolved, its not just independent tuners who bring cars to the show to display their wares. Automakers contract with tuners to market their newest models.

Chevrolet is bringing several cars to SEMA including hotter versions of its Cruze and upcoming Sonic. Two of the cars are the Z-Spec Sonics that wear conceptual upgrades that Chevrolet is considering for sale.

The first Z-Spec Sonic adds a ground effects kit, spoiler, graphics and 18in wheels. On the interior it has suede seats, sport pedals, shorter throw shifter and flat-bottom steering wheel. For improved performance, this Z-spec Sonic gets larger, four piston brakes, a tuned suspension and a cat-back exhaust.

The second Z-Spec Sonic features similar upgrades but is painted white with red accents and has different wheels than the other Z-spec Sonic.

The Sonic Z-Spec 4D Concept is similar to the other two but painted gray, and the Sonic Dust also uses a slightly different exterior upgrade package that is meant to be more mild. It comes with a Mojave leather interior.

Chevrolet is also bringing a pair of tuned Cruzes to SEMA. The Cruze Z-Spec gets similar upgrades to the Z-Spec Sonics as to exterior and interior upgrades.

There is also a Cruze Dusk that gets similar mild exterior changes and leather interior.
