Toyota and Honda have done this in the past - showing off electric, personal transport vehicles that are touted as vehicles of the future. They are never actually produced and likely never will, but Chevrolet is adding its own personal electric vehicle to the heap.
The EN-V concept will be shown at Chevrolet's centennial celebration on November 3. It is a two seat electric vehicle that can travel 40km on a charge. The GPS system is integrated into the vehicle to allow the vehicle to be driven manually or autonomously. It can also interface with other vehicles to fit as many of them on the road at once.
“By 2030, more than 60 percent of the world’s 8 billion people will live in urban areas. The Chevrolet EN-V represents a possible solution for global customers living in markets where alternative transportation solutions are needed,” said Chris Perry, vice president, global Chevrolet marketing and strategy.
