Chrysler Takes Over Distribution of Fiat and Alfa Romeo in Australia

The only Fiat models offered in Australia are the 500 and 500 Abarth

Chrysler took over the role as distributor for Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Fiat Professional vehicles in Australia beginning May 1. 

The 17 current Fiat and Alfa Romeo dealers and 22 Fiat Professional dealers in Australia will report to the headquarters of Chrysler Australia Group located in Melbourne.

The three brands sold a combined total of 2,635 units in Australia in 2011. Fiat offers the Fiat 500 and 500 Abarth. Alfa Romeo has the 159, 159 Sportwagon and the Giulietta; and Fiat Professional sells the Ducato and Scudo.

Chrysler is currently enjoying a strong rise in sales in Australia. Sales in 2011 were up 27.5% for its Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. Sales in January and February 2012 were up 78% over the same two months in 2011.
