for 35 pence per minute. It allows drivers to use the cars anywhere in the London boroughs of Islington, Sutton or Newham and park it anywhere when they are done in the borough when they are done. 

The cars emit 98g/km of CO2 with an automatic transmission, start/stop and GPS navigation. The cars are exempt from the London congestion charge. 

“A lot of Londoners don’t need or want a car all the time but enjoy the freedom that driving brings. Car2go gives the best of both worlds – the ability to go where you want, when you want – and in comfort – but without all the costs associated with owning, running and insuring a car full-time,” said Stefan Mueller, Car2go CEO.

The service is running a promotion until December 31 where anyone that registers get a free 30 minutes of driving time. 

Car2go has 250,000 registered users world wide driving 6,000 cars.
