Entire Micro Car Museum Being Auctioned by RM

The collection is huge

Bruce Weiner amassed a collection of about 200 microcars over the past 15 years. He even opened a museum featuring his collection and memorabilia in Madison, Georgia. But he has decided that it is time to walk away from his life's work and is auctioning his entire collection through RM Auctions on February 15 and 16. The auction features nearly 200 cars and about 300 lots of memorabilia.

“As a microcar collection, the Bruce Weiner Museum is unequivocally the finest of its kind worldwide. With many items having been closely guarded in private ownership, and the vast majority coming to public auction for the first time, the sale is truly unprecedented. We are honored to have been selected by Bruce to present his museum collection," said Rob Myers, founder of RM Auctions.

The majority of the cars were built between the late-40s and early-60s. His collection includes a Peel P-50P50Peel P50United Kingdom, 1962 > present8 photos

"I’m really looking forward to the sale and happy that these unique cars will be spread to other passionate collectors throughout the world. As I see it, we’re enlarging the microcar community by letting these go and helping keep history alive," said Weiner.

RM Auctions does not have pictures of all of the lots yet. We will be following up on the story as more details about the cars emerge.

I find this a bit sad. I go every now on then on the website of the Museum to discover micro-cars I did not know.
