The move could be a fix for the under capacity Rüsselsheim factory that GM announced yesterday would run at short hours for the rest of the year. By building all three cars there, it may fill the factory and be able to run three shifts of workers. 

The real question will be how this news will be taken in France where PSA is in the middle of an epic battle to close the Aulnay factory where Citroën models are made and fire 8,000 workers. How will it take the news that its works is being shipped to Germany?
