Gran Turismo Demo Downloaded Over One Million Times in Two Weeks

It looks like Gran Turismo 6 will be another big success for Sony on the PlayStation3. In the two weeks since the demo for the game was released, it has been downloaded over a million times. reports that it has received about 600,000 registered times for GT Academy in Europe alone.

Qualifying for GT Academy ends on July 28 at 11:59pm British Standard Time, and the demo will continue to work even after that. The leader board is public on Gran Turismo's website. As of this writing, a driver in Spain with the username eclipsi_RC is leading three of the five GT Academy trials, and players from Japan and France are leading the other two trials.

The trials give players two weeks to set the fastest times around the Silverstone Grand Prix course in a Nissan 370ZNissan 370Z 2Japan, 2013 > present34 versions

The demo is also playable at some kiosks around Europe.
