during qualifying? Lewis Hamilton has set his fourth pole position in a row at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. During the entire qualifying period the track oscillated between wet and dry, but Mercedes judged in right in the end. Hamilton was the final car over the finish line in Q3 to take pole by 0.188 seconds over Sebastian Vettel. Mark Webber will start third, and Nico Rosberg is in fourth.

The Q1 qualifying session started quite wet start. All cars out to try to set good times because it was possible that the track could get even wetter later in the session. With half the session gone, Fernando Alonso, Vettel and Webber were the three fastest drivers.

The track began drying in the final five minutes, but all of the drivers stayed on intermediate tires. The three fastest drivers at the end of the session were Fernando Alonso, Hamilton and Giedo van der Garde who gambled on slick tires and won. made it into Q2.

The drivers went out in Q2 on slicks with the track drying slowly. The track dried throughout the session, and Kimi Raikkonen, Alonso and Rosberg were the three fastest drivers at the end of the session. The Marussias and van der Garde were the three slowest in the session but made it to Q2 for the first time in the session.

There was a stampede to get out at the beginning of Q1 because the track was still a little dry, and the rain was coming. Most of the cars were on slicks, which was the wrong choice. The winner was Paul di Resta who was the only driver to choose intermediate tires. All of the other drivers had to come in after their out lap to switch tires, which gave di Resta a free track.

Di Resta's time stood until the track began drying in the final two laps of the session. Rosberg, Webber and Vettel all broke di Resta's time on the final lap, but then Lewis Hamilton came around to beat all of them and take his fourth pole position in a row.
