Honda has surprised us by bringing two wild-looking concepts to the Auto Salon China in Beijing. The Concept C and Concept S are the future for Honda's models in China.
It says that a production version of the Concept C will enter production next year, and it will be made by Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. The 'C' in the name stands for cool, challenge and China according to Honda. It says that the design is inspired by a dragon due to this year being the year of the dragon in China. The body is complicated to say the least. It is covered in folds and curves, especially from the front. From the side, the C looks like a flashier ninth generation Honda Accord conceptHonda Accord Coupé ConceptJapan, 2012 > present14 photos
. It was designed in concert in China and Japan.
The Concept S will get an even wider release. Honda says that it will have a production version of the car ready for the Chinese market by next year. The 'S' stands for stylish, smart and suprise. It is Honda's idea for a next generation small MPV. The S has a much smoother design than the more angular Concept C. It has a smooth nose that moves down the body to a low grill. The Honda emblem extends to the LED headlights. It also has lower LED fog lights. From the side, the S looks like an updated, smaller version of the Odyssey MPV. It has a large, glass roof and chevron-shaped tail lights. It will be built by Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd, but it also says that it will release a version for the global market after the Chinese release.
