Kia releases details of its new Ray compact car

Kia has unveiled a new compact vehicle. It is exclusive to the Korean market and aims to capitalise through impressive fuel economy and a versatile interior.

No information has been given with regards to engine and gearbox options, but we would expect the Ray to come with a selection of small petrol engines and an automatic gearbox.

Kia has optimised the Ray’s interior space through its distinctive ‘box like’ design. The Ray also comes with a sliding rear passenger side door which enables easier entry and exit in tight parking spaces, further enhancing the Ray’s ‘city car’ credentials.

The Ray is easily distinguishable from the exterior from its wide stance, accented by prominent LED lamps and bumper reflectors. Meanwhile, the front of the car features Kia’s traditional radiator grille.
