, and it may be on sale as soon as 2014. A major change for the model is that it will reportedly be available as all-wheel drive and two-wheel drive. It is also planning on selling the car in fewer variants.

The decision to offer both drivetrain options comes from the popularity of rear-wheel drive Gallardos. The Gallardo was initially offered only with all-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive came later. However, the rear-wheel drive cars have proved popular among purists and people wanting to step into their first Lamborghini. The all-wheel drive cars have been popular among drivers who know exactly what they want.

One problem with Lamborghini in the past has been that its models are confusing. Not only are the standard cars updated often, but also Lamborghini offers countless special editions.

? Which is faster?

That is why Lamborghini is going to simplify things. There will not be as many special editions of the Gallardo successor. It is possible that convertible models will only be available with rear-wheel drive.

One final change for the car is that there will almost certainly not be a manual transmission option. Lamborghini says that it has not sold a Gallardo with a manual in over a year.
