Lexus GS250 Offers Lots of Tech with Smaller Engine

At the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, Lexus chose to reveal the new GS250. Despite the smaller engine, the GS250 gets all of the upgrades for the new GS cars. 

It is powered by at 2.5 liter, direct injected V6 producing 206hp and 235Nm of torque. The engine can get the GS250 to 100km/h in 8.6 seconds; it takes 31.7 miles per gallon and produces 207g/km of CO2. The GS250 uses a six-speed automatic transmission with a manual mode. 

The GS250 gets the fourth-generation GSs larger interior and 12.3in multimedia display. The body is 14% more rigid and has a new suspension. It also has Drive Select Mode and Adaptive Variable Suspension to allow drivers to adapt the GS exactly to their own driving taste. 

It will be available with Lexus's S-flow air conditioning that works more efficiently and improves fuel economy compared to regular air conditioning and a 17-speaker sound system. 

The GS250 will go on sale along side the hybrid GS in June 2012. The F Sport version will go on sale about the same time as well.
