Lexus has released details and images of its LF-Gh concept which will be fully revealed at the forthcoming New York Auto Show on April 22.
The LF-Gh is a grand tourer which has been designed from the ground up. Lexus is touting the vehicles ‘spindle-shaped’ grille as its most innovative feature. This element contributes to the effectiveness of the LF-Gh’s radiator and brake duct operation as well as improving air flow. The aerodynamic efficiency this creates ‘will be inherited by future Lexus models’ according to the manufacturer.
Mark Templin, Lexus Division group vice president and general manager, said “Customers have been waiting for a bold concept like this from Lexus. We look forward to their feedback and integrating some of these exciting design features into future Lexus vehicles.”
Exterior features of the LF-Gh include twin spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, wrap-around LED tail lamps and L-shaped LED daytime running lights. Dimensions of the concept will be 192.5 inches long, 73.6 inches wide, 57.1 inches high with a wheelbase of 112.2 inches. Interior details remain scarce; however Lexus will say that the entire inside has been meticulously re-examined and will contain ‘hints of an all-new, future Lexus interior.’
Drivetrain details are also yet to be fully released, with the manufacturer only acknowledging that the LF-Gh will be rear-wheel drive and will feature the Lexus Hybrid Drive System.
