a summer update with new option packages. In July, both cars will be available with the new John Cooper Works Exterior Package, John Cooper Works Interior Package and John Cooper Works Chili Package. The Paceman also gets a new standard rear center console with a 12-volt power socket and two optional cup holders. 

All of the new packages are available on all of the engine and drivetrain variants of the Countryman and Paceman. The John Cooper Works Exterior Package adds a sportier suspension, 18in twin-spoke black wheels, John Cooper Works Aerodynamics Kit, black or white bonnet stripes, black mirror caps and anthracite trim on the roof tails and radiator. The aero kit includes a new front bumper with brake cooling ducts, side sill extensions and a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser. 

The John Cooper Works Interior Package adds black Diagonal Track fabric to the seats, a leather multifunction steering wheel, Sport button, dynamic traction control, anthracite doorsill trim and anthracite roof liner. 

The John Cooper Works Chili Package combines all of the parts of the JCW interior and exterior packages plus fog lights, rain sensor, automatic air conditioning, on-board computer, lighting package, storage package, height-adjustable passenger seat, velour floor mats and sport seats with leather and fabric. If ordered on the Cooper S or Cooper SD versions of the Countryman or Paceman, the package also adds xenon headlights.

If either package is ordered, the cars can be ordered in Chili Red, which had previously only been available on the full John Cooper Works models. 

As previously reported, the Countryman and Paceman Cooper models are also available with the ALL4 all-wheel drive system later in the summer. It is available with either a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual.
