A California was spotted testing around Maranello with a higher hood line and more cooling vents that indicate that Ferrari may be considering the turbocharged engine for its smallest car. 

The new Maserati twin-turbo V6 and twin-turbo V8 will be built at the Ferrari factory in Maranello; so the company will have easy access to the engines. 

The next California is scheduled to be released in 2014 or early 2015.
