Experience has started three new driving courses in Finland for precision, performance and master snow driving.
The courses are called Camp4, Camp4S and Ice Force, and they all last five days, compared to Bentley's three-day classes. The Porsche Experience Center is located at Pasasjärvi Lake, Finland. The classes run in January through February.
The courses focus on training drivers to drive safely in the snow both safely and in a performance-minded way. More advanced classes even teach the best way to drive on studded snow tires.
The Camp4 course costs €3890 per person. On the first day, students arrive at the resort and have dinner. Courses begin on the second day with a theory class and their first day of driving instruction. On the third day, it is all driving instruction, and students eat at an ice restaurant for dinner. Day four is also all driving instruction, and students leave on the afternoon of the fifth day.
Camp4S is basically the same as Camp4 but focuses precision driving over driving safety. The cars are equipped with 4mm studded snow tires. It also adds the chance to drive a snowmobile on a frozen lake. The course costs €4690 per person. All of the classes are in March.
The final class is Ice Force, and it is for learning high performance ice and snow driving. It adds classes in ice drifting, comparison of driving with and without electronic aids and lets drivers experience several Porsche models. Depending on model, the cars all have 4mm or 5mm studded snow tires. The third day teaches snow driving without traction control, and the fourth day is meant as a test to students. Porsche has several courses, and the drivers must negotiate all of them while in a constant drift. The final day includes a snowmobile tour of the region. The course costs €5690 per student and runs through January and February.
