The Iceman has not melted since leaving Formula 1 in 2009, Kimi Raikkonen set the fastest lap times at today's Formula 1 test at the Jerez Circuit in Spain. Raikkonen's Lotus E20 was about a tenth of a second faster than Paul di Resta in his Force India who was second fastest at the test today.
Raikonen's results show he might not necessarily be the fastest man on the grid during the Australian Grand Prix on March 15. No one expects Force India to be at the front, and these results show that teams are still developing the cars and there is a lot of sandbagging going own at Jerez. It was mostly the mid-tier teams doing the most laps at Jerez.
