Ralph Lauren's 1938 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic Wins at Villa d'Este

Fashion designer Ralph Lauren is known for is collection of rare cars, and his 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic won Best of Show at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza at the Villa d’Este. Lauren was on hand to present the car.

Lauren's Type 57SC Atlantic is one of just two made. The other example set a sales record in 2010 when it was sold for $30 million. Since then a Ferrari 250 GTO250 GTOFerrari 250 GTOItaly, 1962 > 19646 photos
has beat that record.

The best concept car award went to the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Touring that was revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The car is based on the running gear of an Alfa Romeo 8C8c CompetizioneAlfa Romeo 8c CompetizioneItaly, 2007 > 20094 photos
and inspired by Touring's Disco VolanteC52 Disco Volante Spider 1900Alfa Romeo C52 Disco Vola...Italy, 1952 > present from 1952.

The Concorso d’Eleganza at the Villa d’Este is considered the premiere classic auto show in Europe and is on par with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in the US.
