Introduced in 2009, the second generation Infiniti FX is getting a slightly revised front end for 2011 that accentuates the car's already angry-looking, squinting headlights with more muscular shoulders. The little truck looks like a guy that lifts a lot of weights with the sun in his eyes. Also new for 2011 is a new Limited Edition-spec that adds a ton of standard kit.
The 2012 FX pushes the fenders into the grill area to give the car an even more aggressive demeanor. It features HID headlamps and fog lights.
The new Limited Edition specification adds 21-inch 10-spoke aluminum-alloy graphite finish wheels, dark-tinted headlights with Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) and auto-leveling, and dark-tinted side air vents and lower door trim. It is also available exclusively with Iridium Blue paint. It also includes aluminum roof rails and roof rail crossbars with graphite finish, aluminum pedals, graphite floor mats with unique blue piping, Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System and Around View® Monitor (AVM).
Mechanically, things remain the same with either a 390hp 5.0 liter V8 with all-wheel drive or a 303hp 3.5 liter V6 with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Infiniti is also offering a host of optional features in the new FX including adaptive cruise control and Intelligent Brake Assist. It is also available with four option packages: Premium, Deluxe Touring, Sport, which is only available on the FX50, and the Technology Package.
