Renault launching new race car

unveiled the first image of what will become the next motorsport star of the French brand.

The new competition machine from Renault Sport will be called Renault Sport R.S. 01 and was created thinking of a new monomarque trophy that will replace Eurocup Mégane Trophy.

The official presentation of the new Renault Sport R.S. 01 is scheduled for the Moscow Motor Show, which starts on the 27th of August. For now the French brand just revealed the first official image where the car appears in its natural element, the paddock.

Little information is known about the new race car from Renault. It is known however that the monocoque carbon is produced by DallaraDallaraItaly, 1972 > present3 models

and the engine equipping the car comes from the Nismo, probably with six cylinders and more than 500hp.

The model will be equipped with a seven speed sequential gearbox provided by Sadev. The Renault Sport R.S. 01 will also receive exclusive tires developed by Michelin. The total weight of the vehicle will be around 1100 kg.

Also some rumors state that the new competition model from Renault will mark the kick off  of the rebirth of AlpineAlpineFrance, 1955 > 199414 models
