Rumormill: McLaren Hypercar Revealed during Monaco Grand Prix

A rumor is circulating that since McLaren has finally launched the MP4-12C worldwide that it is now ready to debut its yet unnamed F1-successor hypercar. And where is the best place to unveil a such a car? The rumor goes that McLaren will show it for the first time during the historic Monaco Grand Prix May 24-27. 

The new McLaren would not likely go on sale until 2014. It will be designed by Frank Stephenson who also designed the MP4-12C, BMW Mini, Ferrari F430, Maserati MC12 and Quattroporte. 

Power would likely come from a modified version of the V8 in the MP4-12C. 

The one thing that is certain about this rumor is that McLaren has confirmed that it will launch one new product a year. So we will see a new McLaren next year, but it might not be the hypercar.
