Rumormill: VW GTI Cabriolet Set for Geneva Reveal

A rumor is brewing that Volkswagen will show off a VW GTI Cabrio at the Geneva Motor Show next month. It is not the first time that VW has considered a drop-top GTI. Last June at its Woerthersee event for enthusiasts, Volkswagen showed a concept for the vehicle. 

The VW GTI Cabrio would be the last model based on the MK.VI version of the Golf chassis, and it would get the 208hp, 2.0 liter turbo engine with DSG or six-speed manual. 

We will have to see in a few weeks if there is a GTI without a top in Switzerland.
