Seat and Skoda nip around the ankles of the Volkswagen Audi empire. They are fine automakers but not nearly as popular as their corporate siblings.
Its Leon is based on the previous Golf chassis but is getting a new trim-specs that will add two new top-of-the-range engines. The Leon FR+ is available with either the 2.0 TFSI with 211hp or the diesel 2.0 TDI CR with 170hp. The Cupra R will also be getting updates this year.
The FR+ also gets 18in and Seat Media System 2.2, which includes a 5 inch, touch-screen navigation and Bluetooth. It also comes with xenon headlights and adaptive front lights.
The FR+ adds ₤1,070 to the cost of a standard FR with the 2.0 TDI topping out at ₤22,615.
Also in 2011, the Leon Cupra R will see some upgrades, but the standard Cupra will no longer be for sale. For next year, the Cupra R gets the Seat Media System 2.2, adaptive xenon headlights and LED rear lights. Despite the extra features the price has been dropped by a tenner to ₤25,995.
