Spanish supercar builder Aspid Cars has released the first information about its new supercar the GT-21 Invictus. The design is unique with semi-exposed front wheels. Aspid is still looking for a location to build the car in Spain, but it believes that the GT-21 Invictus will go into production in two years.
The design has front wheels set out from the body similar to a Lotus SevenLotus SevenUnited Kingdom, 1957 > 19726 versions

, but the wheels are close enough to the body that their carbon fiber fenders are connected to the body. The rear wheels are completely enclosed in the body.
“It has a strong visual element to help identify the Aspid open-wheel design language, where you can see all the beauty and technological excellence used in the wheel in conjunction with the suspension arms and their oval shape, dual brake calipers and their unique double discs, complemented by the front wings which also make a smart and aggressive statement of our intentions," said chief designer and company founder Ignacio Fernández Rodriquez.
The Invictus is meant to be a larger, more comfortable version of the Aspid Super Sport that is a more luxurious Lotus Seven. The GT-21 uses the same chassis design as the Super Sport but with a completely different body and interior. They will be limited to 250 cars a year. The car is made from components usually exclusive to motorsports and aerospace. The body is made from carbon fiber.
Each car built exclusively for each buyer, and customers can contact Aspid to change the car's suspension geometry and electronic settings to set it up exactly right.
The GT-21 has a 4.3 liter BMW V8 with 450hp at 8,300rpm and 440Nm of torque with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. It accelerates to 100km/h in under 3.0 seconds and to 200km/h in 10.6 seconds. It has a 305km/h top speed.
The GT-21 uses an aluminum suspension with pushrod dampers, which Aspid says will pull 1.6g on a skid pad. It weighs 990kg.
The GT-21 will only be for sale in Europe at Aspid's 20 dealers.
