Subaru has announced that it will unveil the ‘XV Concept’ at the upcoming 2011 Shanghai Auto Show on April 19.
Very few details are available at the present time, with only the one shadowy teaser image released by the Japanese manufacturer thus far. However Subaru have said that the car “defines a new generation of crossover vehicle, blending exceptional SUV practicality with a fashionable form”. This suggests that the concept may be a preview of the forthcoming Impreza hatchback.
Clearly designed for the crossover vehicle category, the XV should feature a typical array of Subaru attributes including Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. While we can’t really tell from the teaser image, Subaru say the XV will feature ‘truly innovative styling’ for the customer who is ‘looking for a vehicle offering looks, benefits and a packaging that stretch beyond those from the populated crowd of existing crossover models.’
Expect all to be revealed in Shanghai on the 19th.
