The VŪHL 05's Next Public Appearance Will Be at Salon Prive in London

has announced that its 05VUHL 05Mexico, 2013 > present1 photo
trackday car will enter production in November.

"Our aim for Goodwood was quite specific – to accrue sufficient orders for a batch of 20 ‘Edition One’ (top specification) models and, with the serious enquiries already received from the UK, central Europe, USA and Mexico, we are well on the way to achieving that and more. Production will therefore commence in November as planned, with the first cars due to enter customers’ hands during the spring of next year," said founder Guillermo Echeverria. 

The car was presented at Goodwood with Esteban Gutierrez driving the car car up the hill. 

Echeverria says that the car had a great response at Goodwood, and he believes that the interest among trackday drivers will support the company at its start. 

People generally love the car’s unique design, build quality and highly competitive power to weight ratio. We’ve been asked everything from whether a coupé version is on the cards to whether the roadster will form the basis of a one-make race series. The answer is ‘watch this space’, for anything is possible," said Echeverria.

The car will be shown publicly again that the Salon Prive in London from September 4 to 6.

2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 285hp and 310lb-ft of torque. Vūhl claims that the 05 will accelerate to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 245km/h. It comes with a six-speed manual that routes power to the rear wheels. 

Its entire dry weight is 695kg (1532lb), and it is constructed from a central monocoque for the passenger area. The chassis is made from tubular aluminum and aluminum honeycomb. The rear suspension and engine are held in a chrome-molybdenum subframe. The standard body is made from plastic, and carbon fiber is optional. The suspension uses double wishbones front and rear.

The base price is £55,000.
