in the first two races. Le Mans was slightly better with a second-place overall finish. To celebrate the modicum of success at Le Mans, Toyota has created a new short film chronicling the event.
Titled “2013 Le Mans 24 Hours: The Ultimate Endurance Race” the short film looks at what it took for Toyota to take second and fourth in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The film crew had access to the team from scrutineering to the end of the race a week later.
The weird scheduling of the WEC season means that Toyota still has a chance this season. There are over two months between the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June and the next race, the Six Hours of Sao Paulo next week. That is a lot of time to make improvements.
Toyota has elected to race only one car for the rest of the season, expect possibly for the 6 Hours of Fuji on October 20 where Toyota may have both cars racing again.
There are five more races in the WEC calendar from September 1 to November 30, so Toyota could still come back the same way it did last season.
