have signed a deal with Spanish energy company ACCIONA to provide 600 gigawatt hours of completely renewable energy annually to its plants in Martorell, Zona Franca, El Prat de Llobregat and Pamplona starting in 2014.

The Spanish National Energy Commission has certified that all of the energy from ACCIONA will be from completely renewable sources, mostly from wind farms.

“We conduct our work following sustainable criteria in terms of CO2 emissions reduction and energy efficiency,” said Seat head of purchasing Dieter Seemann.

Seat operates three factories in Spain and employs 14,000 people.
