about this car
Produced between 1998 and 1999 by British car manufacturer Ascari Cars, Ltd, the Ascari Ecosse was a mid-engine sports car based on the racing car Ascari FGT. Only 17 units of the Ecosse are known to have been built.
The Ecosse was powered by a 4.4 BMW V8 engine with a power output of 300hp, with later units receiving a larger 4.7 liter engine with power extended to 400hp.
The Ecosse would eventually be replaced by the Ascari KZ1 in 2003.
