Aston Martin launched the second series of the V8 model in 1972, which was when this car dropped the ‘DBS’ out of its previous ‘DBS V8’ model name. Overall, the Series 2 V8 featured almost no noticeable changes other than just some aesthetic adjustments.
By 1973, when the second series V8 would be replaced by the third one, 288 copies of the Series 2 model had been produced.
