The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was released in 1977 and just in short time became considered the first British supercar. This Aston Martin 2-door coupe is a high-performance grand touring car based on the brand’s previous ‘V8’ model.
The V8 Vantage stayed in production for over a decade and 534 units had been built when the company stopped producing it in 1989.

The ‘Vantage’ name had already been previously used by the British brand to badge several high-performance versions of other Aston Martin models. At the end of the production run, in 1989, a total of 534 Vantage units had been produced.

A 5.3-liter V8 engine was fitted on the V8 Vantage, providing it with power output that ranged from 375 to 400 hp, depending on the years and engine revisions. This car was capable of reaching up to 170 mi/h (274 km/h), besides accelerating from 0–60 mi/h in 5.3 seconds. The V8 Vantage has a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, which works along a standard 5-speed manual or an optional 3-speed automatic transmission.

The V8 Vantage was released with a 2-door coupe bodywork but then a ‘Volante’ convertible version joined the line-up as well. From within total production, there were 342 coupes and 192 convertibles built.
