Aston Martin released its grand tourer model Vanquish in 2001. It was the British carmaker’s mainstream model from the line-up.
Production of the Aston Martin V8 ultimately got suspended in 2007.
topThe Aston Martin Vanquish was first seen as a production model in 2000 and it would enter the car markets in 2001. This grand tourer is the result of a concept car which Aston Martin had been working on, which was best known as the ‘Project Vantage’. It would quickly become the brand’s mainstream model for the years of its lifespan.
When Aston Martin ceased production of the Vanquish, in July 2007, a ‘Vanquish Ultimate Edition’ model was released to celebrate the event and it included the last 40 Aston Martin Vanquish units produced.
topThe Vanquish has a 5.9-liter V12 front engine that relies on a rear-wheel drive system. Depending on the version, this car produces from 460 hp (standard version) to 520 hp (Vanquish S). The Vanquish goes from 0 to 60 mi/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches its top speed at 190 mi/h (306 km/h).
A 6-speed manual transmission with paddle shifting is fitted on all Vanquish units except for the ‘Ultimate Edition’ cars, which were given a conventional stick gearbox with 6 speeds.
