The Italian car company ATS (which stands for Automobili Turismo e Sport) was not only a car manufacturer but a racing team as well. ATS was only active from 1963 through 1965 and its main goal was to compete directly with Ferrari with both roadgoing and racing ATS vehicles.
Throughout its quite short lifespan the ATS company built only one production sports car and one F1 racing car. Both models were financially backed up by a member of the Scuderia Serenissima, the Count Giovanni Volpi.
