The R8 GT a limited-production version of Audi's R8 high performance sports car. The R8 GT has a limited production of 333 units and every single vehicle is badged with its production number on the shift lever knob.

The R8 GT offers enhanced performance and reduced weight in comparison to the standard R8. Comparing to the R8 5.2 FSI Quattro, the weight of the R8 GT has been reduced by 100 kilograms to 1525 kg, with the cuts coming to almost every part of vehicle. For example, the windshield of the R8 GT is made of thinner glass, the bulkhead between the passenger cell and engine compartment and the window in the rear hatch are made of lightweight polycarbonate. Also many parts of the R8 GT are made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic.

Besides having its weight reduced, the aerodynamics of the R8 GT has been enhanced. With 4.43 meters long, 1.93 meters wide and only 1.24 meters high the R8 GT produces more downforce when driven fast than the production model.

In terms of design the R8 GT has suffered some changes in the single-frame grille with its struts and slats in the air intakes finished in matt titanium gray. The grille has been painted in matt black. The sideview is dominated by the sideblades, elements also made in matte carbon and that direct air to the engine.

The 19-inch wheels feature an exclusive five twin-spoke Y design in a titanium-look finish. At the rear has received a fixed wing of matte carbon, with the ventilation louvers on both sides of the rear hatch and the bumper featuring a new design.

The R8 GT is powered by a modified V10 engine which enhances the performance of the sports car. The R8 GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 320 km/h. With a displacement of 5,204 cc the R8 GT has an output of 560 hp and a maximum torque of 540 Nm at 6,500 rpm. As for its efficency, the R8 GT has an average fuel consumption of 13.7 litres/100 km.

The V10 engine is fitted with a six-speed R tronic sequential manual transmission, which changes gears much faster than a skilled driver could. As usual in Audi’s sports cars, the R8 GT is equipped with the quattro permanent all-wheel drive technology.
