The Veyron Legend Meo Costantini was revealed at the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show. The special edition limited to three units is dedicated to two-time Targa Florio winner Meo Costantini in 1925 and 1926.

The Bugatti Type 35 that Costantini won both Targa Florio races in inspired the look of the new Legend edition. Like all of the rest of the Legend range, it is based on the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse.

For the Legend Meo Costantini edition, the fenders and doors are made from aluminum, and the front and rear are carbon fiber. The carbon fiber parts are painted French Racing Blue to take inspiration from the Type 35, and the aluminum parts are finished in brightly polished, unpainted aluminum and coated with clear lacquer. At the rear, the silhouette of the Targa Florio course is on the underside of the rear wing, and Costantini’s signature is laser-etched on the fuel and oil cap.

The interior features a laser-etched interior inspired by motorsports in the 20s. The roof, footwell, seats, center section and rear wall are all covered in leather with a mix of brown and blue. It is contrasted with light blue stitching.

Costantini lived an exciting life. He was born in 1889 and was a fighter ace during World War I. He started racing in 1920 and eventually became a factory racer for Bugatti, and in addition to the Targa Florio wins, he also won the Spanish Grand Prix and Grand Prix of Milan during his career. He managed the Bugatti racing team from 1927 to 1935.
