The Cadillac Cyclone was built in 1959 by the Cadillac Division of General Motors. It is a concept car designed by Harley Earl and displays futuristic styling and technology inspired by aviation and rocket design of the 1950s.
Some of its characteristic features were an engine exhaust ported out just ahead of the front wheels and a radar operated crash avoidance system, with the radar sensors mounted in twin "nose-cones" on the front of the car. Another outstanding feature was a bubble top canopy which was silver coated for UV protection and automatically opened along with the sliding electrically operated doors.
The Cyclone was never mass-produced as a production model.

Cadillac
Cadillac was founded in 1902 by Henry Martyn Leland from the remains of Henry Ford’s car company. After financial disputes with its bankers, Ford left taking its name, and Leland stepped in, persuading the bankers to carry on with the carmaker. A new name was needed, and inspired in the French explorer that discovered Detroit in the beginning of the 17th century, Leland chose the explorer’s name to baptize the company: Cadillac.
