The 2014 Z/28 was unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show and it is meant to be the ultimate Camaro track car. Power comes from a 7.0-liter V8 with dry sump lubrication that makes 500hp and 470lb-ft of torque. Power gets to the road via a six-speed manual with a rear limited-slip differential. While it technically has less power than the range topping ZL1, it also has significantly lower weight. The Z/28 is 300lbs lighter than the ZL1 and gets lightweight wheels, thinner rear window glass and other modifications.
Other performance upgrades include a bodykit and spoiler that increase downforce, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and it only comes with a manual transmission. Air conditioning is optional.
Changes to the body include a larger splitter, flat underbody, fender flares and a rear diffuser.
Chevrolet claims that the changes translate to a Camaro that can pull 1.05g during cornering.
