For the third instalment of Michael Bay’s Transformers film franchise, Transformers: Dark of the Moon Chevrolet released a Special Edition Camaro to customers in the United States, Canada, China, Japan, Europe, South America, and the Middle East.

The limited edition model is a $3,000 package on the 2LT and 2SS Camaro Coupes with Rally Yellow paint. Its exterior features include black rally stripes stretching over the bonnet, roof and boot lid, a high-wing rear spoiler, 20-inch, black-painted wheels wrapped in high-performance summer tires, and Autobot Shield logos on the centre caps and front quarter panels.

On the inside, the Transformers Camaro received a black leather interior accented with yellow stitching on the instrument panel, centre console, armrests and seats, and Autobot Shield logos on the front headrests and centre console lid. Optional dealer-fitted extras include 21-inch wheels and a ‘black ground-effects package.’

Thanks to the Transformers films, the Camaro became America’s best-selling sports car for 2010 and 2011, as well as the most-searched-for car on the web in 2009.

The Special Edition Bumblebee Camaro could be ordered by customers from July 2011.
