The Colorado Show Truck serves as a precursor for the production Colorado Chevrolet aim to release later this year.

Notable features include heavy use of LED lighting, with the LED imposing tailamp spanning the entire width of the Colorado’s rear end.

The mechanicals, however, are arguably more impressive as the Show Truck employs a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel to provide what Chevy describes as ‘excellent cargo and towing ability.’ Whilst there is no firm commitment of power, torque or even cylinder configuration, the use of diesel in such a prominent concept vehicle shows Chevrolet to be aware of ever-increasing oil prices and economy demands.with the three-dimensional dials, 20-inch wheels and body-colour tonneau colour looking particularly vulnerable to the transition from concept to production model.
